Privacy Policy

CCReB Advisors, Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliates (hereinafter collectively referred to as “CCReB Group”) is a company that provides services to users (hereinafter referred to as “Users”) of the services provided by CCReB Group. (“CCReB Advisors”) and its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively, the “CCReB Group”) will use information that includes personal information about users of the services provided by the CCReB Group (“Users”). The privacy policy of CCReB Group is as follows. The following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) shall apply to the handling of information including personal information (hereinafter referred to as “User Information”) concerning users of the services provided by CCReB Group (hereinafter referred to as “Users”). This Policy applies to the handling of personal information (hereinafter referred to as “User Information”) of CCReB Group, Inc. This Policy shall apply to all services provided by CCReB Group (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”), together with the terms of use and other related regulations stipulated for each of the various services provided by CCReB Group. The Policy shall apply to all services provided by CCReB Group (hereinafter referred to as “the Services”).

Definition of Personal Information

Personal information covered by this policy is information about living individuals that (1) can be used to identify specific individuals by name, date of birth, gender, e-mail address, telephone number, address, company name, or other information contained in the information (including information that cannot identify a specific individual by itself, but can be easily matched with other information to thereby identify a specific individual); or (2) can be used to identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, gender, e-mail address, telephone number, address, company name, or other information contained in the information. (This includes information that cannot be used to identify a specific individual by itself, but can be easily matched with other information to identify a specific individual.) (iii) Information that contains a personal identification code, such as fingerprint data or passport number (passport number). However, in the event that the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of May 30, 2003) (hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Information Protection Act”) or other related laws and regulations are revised, the definition shall apply.

    • Other information that the CCReB Group has specified to be obtained through the application or website.
  • (2) Acquisition of technical information
    When a user accesses the Service, CCReB Group obtains the following technical information
    • Type of terminal
    • Terminal identifier
    • Browser Type
    • Referrer
    • IP address
    • Cookie
    • Search Keyword
    • Other screen operation history
    • History of ad views and clicks
    • Other advertising identifiers
  • (3) Information obtained based on the user’s individual consent
    CCReB Group obtains the following information from users when they give their individual consent
    • Location information
  • (4) Information acquired through collaboration with external services
    If you allow CCReB Group to link with external services when using the Service, CCReB Group will obtain the following information from such external services.
    • IDs used by users for external services
    • Other information that the user has authorized to be disclosed to the linked party according to the privacy settings of the external service.

    In addition to the preceding paragraphs, CCReB Group obtains the following information

Purpose of use

CCReB Group will use the user information obtained for the purposes set forth below.

  • Provision of products and services
  • Usage fee billing
  • Identification and user authentication
  • User traffic and behavior measurement
  • Distribution of advertisements and confirmation of results
  • Notification of changes to the Terms of Service and other important notifications.
  • To provide information and respond to inquiries regarding this service.
  • (2) To survey and analyze the use of the Service, and to provide such survey and analysis data, whether free of charge or for a fee.
  • (2) To improve the operation and quality of this service, and to plan and develop new services, as well as to conduct questionnaire surveys and other marketing analysis.
  • Other purposes specified in the various services provided by the CCReB Group

Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

CCReB Group will not provide personal information to any third party without prior consent of the user. However, CCReB Group may provide user information to third parties in the following cases.

  • (1) When providing user information to the operator of an external service for the purpose of linking with the external service or authentication using the external service
  • (2) When the information specified in Article 2 is processed and provided to a third party in a form that does not allow the identification of individual Users.
  • (3) When it is necessary for CCReB Group to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or an individual or entity entrusted by either a national agency or local government to execute affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining consent from the User is likely to impede the execution of such affairs.
  • (4) When permitted by other laws and regulations

5. Other

  • (1) CCReB Group may outsource a part of its business to other companies (hereinafter referred to as “outsourcees”) in order to perform the business stipulated in this Agreement, and may provide customer information to the outsourcees in connection with the outsourcing of such business.
  • (2) In the case of the preceding paragraph, CCReB Group shall contractually obligate the subcontractor to limit the use of customer information to the extent necessary for the performance of the business to which the subcontractor is entrusted, and shall have the subcontractor take security control measures.

7. disclosure of personal information

When CCReB Group receives a request from a user to disclose personal information in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law, CCReB Group will disclose the information to the user without delay after confirming that the request is made by the user himself/herself. However, this does not apply to cases in which CCReB Group is not obligated to disclose the information under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations. Please contact the contact listed in “11.CCReB Group’s Personal Information Protection Manager” for specific information on where to request disclosure of personal information, the procedures, and fees.

8. correction and suspension of use of personal information

  • (1) When a user requests correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as “correction, etc.”) of personal information because the content of the personal information is not true, CCReB Group will investigate the request without delay after confirming that the request is made by the user himself/herself, and based on the results, will correct the content of the personal information, and notify the user to that effect. We will then correct the content of the personal information based on the results of the investigation and notify the user to that effect.
  • (2) When CCReB Group receives a request from a user to stop using or delete personal information for any of the following reasons (hereinafter referred to as “stop of use, etc.”), CCReB Group will investigate the request without delay after confirming that it is made by the user himself/herself, and based on the results, will stop using personal information, Based on the results of the investigation, we will suspend the use of the personal information and notify the user to that effect.
    • (i) Reason that the personal information is handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use that has been publicly announced in advance.
    • (ii) Reason that the personal information was obtained through deception or other means
  • (3) The provisions of Paragraphs 1 and 2 of this Article shall not apply to cases in which the CCReB Group is not obligated to correct, etc. or suspend the use of personal information pursuant to the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations.
  • (4) Information acquired through collaboration with external services
    When a user permits linkage with an external service when using the Service, we will obtain the following information from such external service.
    • IDs used by users for external services
    • Other information that the user has authorized to be disclosed to the linked party according to the privacy settings of the external service.

Revision of 9.

The CCReB Group may revise this Policy at its discretion. However, in cases where the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations stipulate the necessary procedures for revision, CCReB Group shall revise this Policy in accordance with such laws and regulations. In the event that CCReB Group amends this Policy, CCReB Group will inform users of the effective date of the amended Policy and its contents by one of the following methods.

  • Posting on the CCReB Group website
  • Notification to users
  • Other appropriate methods
